Congratulations to the Steve Frost and the Under 11’s who won the Plate Premiership with a win over Mosman 47: Nil.
But the win was tempered with the sad news of the passing away of 5 year old Chloe , sister of Mitch Robertson from the Under 11’s, in a tragic accident last week. We as a Club express our heartfelt sympathy to Glen & Kelly and Mitch and to all those within the Club who have lost family members over the last year and I ask that you join with me as a community in remembering them in our thoughts and in our prayers. Geoff Kirkby, Club President Congratulations to the Under 11s for making it to the Plate Grand Final by beating Hillview on Sunday.
The 11s will be playing Mosman at Boronia Park at 12 Noon this Sunday. This is a traditional grudge match against Mosman with some interesting results between the teams over the last 2 years. Coach Steve Frost has tapered the boys perfectly to peak at the right end of the season. In the playoffs they have amassed 79 points (includes 28-0 win by FFt to Manly) and conceded just 10. But also congratulations must go to the 10's, 14's and the Opens, who unfortunately all lost on the weekend but not without giving all they had in the matches they played . |

2010 is fast becoming “OUR” year. With the introduction of Plate Semi Finals in 2010 as result of the structure of the Competition the following teams have made the Semi Finals: 10s, 11s, 13s, 14s The 14’s came first in the competition during the season and as there are five teams in their semi finals they have a bye this weekend. BUT WAIT – THERE’s MORE: If the Opens win this weekend and make the Semis then we will have had the most successful season in the history of the Club. So get down to Waitara Oval this Sunday as the Festival of Rugby Football starts at 11:00 am and we need everyone to stick around and support the Opens at 1:00 pm Good Luck to the 13s who will be playing away. |
