Hornsby Junior Rugby Union Club

It was a beautiful sunny day as the Under6s lined up at Cliff Oval for the Gala day. Chatswood lined up with only four players and when one left the field after only a few minutes of play it was looking to be a very one sided match. Andrew H and Tommy M turned their jerseys inside out and played for Chatswood which evened things up. Luckily some more Chatswood players turned up so the boys could rejoin the Lions!

Round two was against Killara and the Lions had to lift their game to match the oppositions attacking play. The under 6s played with confidence and skill in round three against Wahroonga. Round four was a rematch against Chatswood and the players were  a little tired but they soldiered on nevertheless.  

In summary Robert A and Spencer G led the attack with some great running tags. Andrew H lurked behind the lines to catch any runners that broke through. Jack O and Jack B did some fantastic runs with the ball so determined were they to score a try. Dominic M did his signature big kicks at kick off. Tommy M was all grit and determination as he ran at the opposition with the ball. Sione K demonstrated great skill in his tags and side steps with the ball. Joel N courageously ran with the ball into the opposing line up.

It has been wonderful to see the tream grow in confidence and skill as the season has progressed. At the end of each match they look so proud of themselves and so are we. Many thanks to our illustrious coach Andrew M and his able assistant James B for making today possible.
